“Human impact on environment may be slowing, study shows”

The Guardian

A new study was recently released showing that although human population and economy are increasing drastically, the human global footprint is not increasing as rapidly. Researchers believe that this is due to the more efficient use of natural resources. However, they also found that the most highly impacted parts of the world are the ones with the highest biodiversity. There is not much land left that has not been inhabited or developed in some way by humans, however researchers hope that their findings will help to protect these “wild” lands.
