a microenvironment in delaware

IMG_3412  I took this photograph while walking down on of the alleyways of Delaware. It wasn’t a creepy alley, just a cement pathway between houses. I stumbled upon this backyard and was quite intrigued. It caught my attention because of it was aspects of both a wild and a human manipulated landscape. Clearly this is a section of private property and the fence in the foreground enforces this point, but the landscape seems to have been left grow as it pleases. The fence added to my intrigue as it both kept me out of the environment and defined it as its own little entity. I was a little disappointed though because I would’ve liked to further explore this area. It felt like my own secret garden- subtly beautiful, untamed, and calling to be explored.
