After consulting with some people and going over the data I received from Mr. Krygier, I think I have narrowed down the types of trees I’d like to use. But I think I should meet with the staff before making my final decision. Mr. Krygier has also suggested the possibility of hanging plants. I think that if we could hang some plants from the balcony railings, then it would be easy for people to take care of them because you wouldn’t have to reach for them. While I’m not interested in covering the whole balcony, just some plants hanging off to the sides so that they don’t fall on anyone should make the railings look nice.
I’ve also been going over the floor plans about where things are going to be located during events that take place in the atrium. According to the reports I’ve read, some of the plants I have in mind would actually benefit being moved around periodically. I’d need to somehow digitize the plans and superimpose them in order to be sure of a good place to put them.
