This is a developing source of renewable energy. It essentially uses the power of oceanic currents and tides to spin turbines producing electricity. There has been a huge influx of effort with in the past few years focused on finding developing new sources of energy that seem sustainable. This is just one example of a source of power some could come to rely on in the coming years. This particular device indicated to me that there is not going to be one single solution to finding a renewable source of power. Rather the solution lied in diversification of power sources, and becomeing more efficient with in that given mode of power acquisition. Whether its wind, solar, geothermal etc. the solution to the power crisis will be in the diverse tapping of these energy sources.
