Vandermeer & Perfecto: Breakfast of Biodiversity

Breakfast of biodiversity was a wonderful break from books that note problems but give no solution. The authors have made a substantial effort to make it clear that they have considered many aspects of the complex systems of our environment and our economy. I had never thought about the scope of industrialized farming to the extent that this book elaborated on. The effects go beyond the physical environment, causing population distribution problems, displacing families etc.
