Polar bears going hungry

Warmer temperatures have had drastic effects on Polar Bears. Their icy habitat has been melting at an increased rate, decreasing the area from which they can find food. Studies have begun to show that the amount of Polar Bears who have to sustain themselves on their own energy reserves has tripled over the past 10 years. The increased rate of bears going hungry has alarmed many biologists. As a result, the Polar Bear was added to the Endangered Species list. If the melting continues, Polar Bears could possibly become extinct.
