Birth control for squirrels

In
SANTA MONICA, California, there is a city park where the number of squirrels reaches 1,000 and officials have tried poison, gassing and euthanasia to control the breeding frenzy and are now considering “birth control.” “They warn that the rodents are aggressive and may carry rabies or host fleas that can spread disease, such as bubonic plague.” Animal activists are opposing any action taken on the squirrels stating that they aren’t a threat to any body. This relates to humans entering or developing a habitat that is perfect for the animals but then complain about animal populations. They should just leave nature be or don’t construct land that is pristine for the squirrels.
